New York City -- Deacons for Life, a national ministry which is part of the Gospel of Life/Priests for Life Family of ministries, has announced a renewed launch of its efforts to network, equip and encourage deacons in their role as heralds and servants of the Gospel of Life.
A renewed website, at
DeaconsForLife.org, enables deacons to obtain resources for prayer and preaching, as well as connect with national pro-life action items. Some of the projects on the horizon include:
• National Voter Registration Sundays June 29 and July 6, to help voters prepare for the mid-term elections;
• “Turning the Hearts of Fathers,” an effort to assist Churches to proclaim healing to men affected by abortion;
• A call to the US Senate to schedule a vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act;
• Preparation for the National Day of Remembrance, an observance in September by which simultaneous memorial services are held at the gravesites of aborted children.
