Today's Pro-Life Reflection
(From Frank Pavone's Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day)
April 18
"What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" – Psalm 8:5
Reflection: A television movie had a scene in which two women were arguing. One said, "But you don't get it, you don't get it -- you just killed someone." And the other responded, "No, you don't get it -- I don't care!" Many abortion supporters know abortion kills children; they just no longer care.
Prayer: Lord, we ask for more than education and knowledge. We ask that you fill our world with hearts that care. May those who have forgotten how to care learn from our example. Amen.

Deacons for Life To Provide Networking and Encouragement
By Deacons for Life Posted: Monday, June 23, 2014

New York City -- Deacons for Life, a national ministry which is part of the Gospel of Life/Priests for Life Family of ministries, has announced a renewed launch of its efforts to network, equip and encourage deacons in their role as heralds and servants of the Gospel of Life.

A renewed website, at DeaconsForLife.org, enables deacons to obtain resources for prayer and preaching, as well as connect with national pro-life action items. Some of the projects on the horizon include:

National Voter Registration Sundays June 29 and July 6, to help voters prepare for the mid-term elections;
“Turning the Hearts of Fathers,” an effort to assist Churches to proclaim healing to men affected by abortion;
A call to the US Senate to schedule a vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act;
Preparation for the National Day of Remembrance, an observance in September by which simultaneous memorial services are held at the gravesites of aborted children.

Assisting in the leadership of this effort, along with Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, are the following deacons:

Deacon Keith Fournier
Diocese of Richmond

Deacon Dominick Pastore
Archdiocese of Detroit

Deacon Tim Kennedy
Archdiocese of Newark

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers
Archdiocese of Portland
